Hi -
I am looking for a good quality CD for teaching my daughter common hymns. We attend a contemporary church so I want to teach her some of the classic hymns at home. I am thinking maybe we will focus on one hymn a month. Does anyone have a good CD that they could recommend?
Thank you,
Suzanne

This is not a CD recommendation, but there is a website that offers midi audio files of hymns, and pages of hymn lyrics. You can subscribe to their email and each week they will send you a hymn and link to a page with extensive history about the hymn.

Using this alongside a nice CD of hymns would be wonderful.

There are three book in this series. I have all three of them and like them equally well. I think which one you choose would depend on which one has the songs you want to go over with your daughter.
Go to Amazon to see the song list and reviews.

Here is a review I did on my blog recently if you would like to know more specifics. Also on Amazon they only offer a few of the books so we ordered the others from Crossway (http://www.crossway.org/search?q=hymns+for+a+kid%27s+heart), the publisher.

Hope that helps!

We love these books, too. I hadn't seen that link before -- thanks. The story of the senior in a nursing home on that page was very touching & a great idea for future service.
