Has anyone ever used this before? Did you like it? I'm not sure how it is stuctured and how it is to be used. If anyone can give their opinion on this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

it is just hard to process it all.

Basically, it is a very good glossary of literary-analysis terms. The idea is to pick one term/idea each week and talk about it in relation to whatever book dc has read that week.

There are sample socratic discussions scattered through-out the book. I didn't find these very helpful at the time I read the book.

The list of literary terms and their definitions is much more extensive and helpful than any other source I have found. However, it took watching Teaching the Classics and reading Well-Educated Mind for me to actually get to a place where I could discuss books beyond the obvious. The book Deconstructing Penguins was also very helpful, but approaches the discussion differently than WEM, which was really the most helpful.
