Good morning! Last spring as I was looking for something to use in our morning Bible time, several of you mentioned BTFLK. We love it - it has been such a huge hit that I am going to be sorry when we are done!

Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from there? We will be using The Childs Story Bible in conjunction with Biblioplan, but I'd like a bit more (but not an entire curric. like Explorers) . I have LLOtG, which I did with my oldest last year, so I think I'll wait another year to do it with DD#2 (when she is K-5 age). I also have THTM, but think I'll wait several more years for that, as I'd like DD#2 to be in 1st or 2nd when we start.

So...anything out there that is simple, yet really grabs a child's attention like Big Truths? Thanks so much for any help!

The Right Choices by Kenneth Taylor, he has a few other books that are short, sweet and apply to a child's life. Other titles: Big Thoughts for Little Ones (? not sure I have that exactly right)

Then the Millers books: Storytime with the Millers, Wisdom with the Millers, etc.

These have been big hits with dd7 and other homeschoolers I know.

If you liked Big Truths, the same author has two more books that look similar in style: Discovering Jesus in Genesis, and Discovering Jesus in Exodus. I have not used them yet, but I want to move on to them if we ever get through BTFLK, lol.

when I read the Vos Story Bible aloud to my dc, which we read in it's entirety twice, over a period of three years, I was amazed by the depth of their questions and the richness of our discussions. She writes in a style that is provocative and engaging, and I didn't feel the need to add anything more.

We have enjoyed LLTG as well.
