what is/was your favorite history curriculum for 6th and 8th grade?

I have to say TOG. We left it last year only to come running back to it because nothing else measured up for us.

We are reading the History of US by Joy Hakim...we follow it with looking on the computer for topics of the chapters we read. Honestly, my boys enjoy history and remember more now than when we did SOTW...All American History. Nothing kept their interest and it was a very frustrating situation. Now, we relax, read and love love history. I also use the Drive thru History series which we love and the Ken Burns Civil War series, too.
