I am looking for ideas on a curriculum for HOme-Ec course. Have you used anything you really liked? Please share.

Home Maintenance for Dummies

Any housework book by Don Anslett- maybe Is There Life After Housework?. I can't remember which one we used, but they are all good.

We called our course Life Skills. Oldest ds also read The Seven Habits of the Highly Effective Teens; Rich Dad, Poor Dad for Teens; looked at job listings in fields of interest; and took a semester course at tutorial that covered child care and cooking.

I spent a good deal of time looking for something to use to teach my younger dd how to cook w/a nutritional element consistent with our views on healthy eating -- along the lines of nourishing traditions -- I settled on Alice Water's cookbook 'The Art of Simple Food.'

You should be able to find it at a good library and/or see reviews on Amazon.
