My son will be completing BJU grade 3 math...I was curious which level of MUS is considered grade 4?
Thanks!

MUS is really not separated at grade levels. Alpha is single digit adding and subtracting, Beta is multi-digit adding and subtracting, Gamma is multiplication, Delta is Division, etc. The best way to tell which one you need is to go to www.mathusee.com (http://www.mathusee.com) and have your son complete the placement test. Also look over the scope and sequence of the different levels and see which ones your son has done in BJU.

Now the long answer. . . it depends. MUS is different as it exhausts an operation, so at the end of Gamma which covers multiplication, a 3rd grader is often doing really huge multiplication problems (3452 X 235). However, said 3rd grader hasn't really done division of the simple facts and has not done any long division to speak of. Delta covers division, but it also reviews addition, subtraction and multiplication as well. Hope that helps. I think there is a placement test online.

Definitely do the placement test. My dd finished BJU 2, and I actually put her in Alpha since her addition facts are not solid (she still needs manipulatives/fingers). So I'm having her go through it at a faster pace till I find where her instructional level is.
