Thursday, my ds received an award in his cc English class for his poem about our years living overseas

There and Back Again

Of all Asia’s many wonders,
There are none that can compare,
To the Ozark’s rolling thunder,
And its wooded hills so fair.

All the concrete conurbations-
I’ll never cease to abhor.
Picturesque pastoral pasture,
Always suited me far more!

Very nice!!!!
I have to admit, I had to look up conurbations though haha.
I like this poem because it is easy to see what your child meant by it, but isn't verbose at all - excellent use of words. I am very impressed.
