Hi folks,
One resource that I have mentioned before on the high school boards is ChemMatters magazine which is published by the American Chemical Society. Each quarter, a few articles from the magazine are offered for free online. I just noticed that the archives contain one article that has been translated into Spanish. This might be a more interesting read for scientifically oriented kids than other supplementary materials.
You can check it all out at the ACS website, found here (http://portal.acs.org/portal/acs/corg/content?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=PP_TRANSITIONMAIN&node_id=1090&use_sec=false&sec_url_var=region1&__uuid=8730523c-d2dc-4a5c-ae33-3e2a607c379f).
