As I am contemplating the possibility of Y2 not making it to the printers before I need it....I am wondering how you DE users are liking the new format.
I'd love to hear your likes and dislikes...In fact, I am all ears! :bigear:

I'm new to TOG and started out with the DE.
My favorite thing is using it to input lesson plans into HST. It is so easy to pull both screens up on my computer and transfer the info into HST. It's much faster than looking back forth between the screen and a book.
Sometimes I print everything off and sometimes I don't. For notes for myself, I print off in draft mode so it uses less ink.
It is very easy to search for information within the DE. I was looking for information on a particular Civil War battle. I just typed it into the search bar and it gave me list of all the pages that had that term. I was then able to just click on pages from that list to find what I was looking for.
I'm not sure I would ever buy the paper version at this point. A friend has a copy of Redesign Year 2 that she has offered to sell to me. I'm not sure, though. I really like the DE.
The biggest negative in my book is the inability to resell. However, a lot of that is set off by the fact that the DE edition is cheaper since I don't print off everything (some weeks, hardly anything other than the kids' worksheets, which would be copied from the paper version, too)

So far, so good. I had Year 1 last year and it sure took up a lot of room. I am still kind of old school and it is taking some time to get used to doing more work from the computer but I think I like the ease of it. Everything is so neat and organized and I don't have to store all those binders or worry about losing or ruining pages.

So, is it true that you can type in the Student Activity Pages, rearrange them, and whatnot? That would probably be the only reason I would choose DE is if I could manipulate the Student Activity pages and delete the things I don't want my son to do, etc. If it is just printing them as is without the ability to change them, then that is no different than print version...

I got a PDF of the SAP and Supplements. You can cut and paste from those, but wasn't that already offered?
