Would it be to much to do SP and BF in the same year? I considering using this with one of the BF studies (Ancients.)

Then again, I may use Sonlight and my question regarding Sonlight is what type of literary analyis do the guides contain?

Also, is the Sonlight Civics/American Govt a year program? I was planning on doing this in 1/2 year and then Economics in the last half.

Any help or ideas is appreciated.

From what I've heard, Sonlight 400 often takes 1.5 years. I don't know that it would be do-able in 1/2 year. You could just pick a few of the books and not do the whole program. As far as Starting Points goes, if you are using it with a high schooler, you shouldn't have any trouble using it with another program. The amount of reading/work isn't overwhelming.

What Sonlight Core were you planning to combine with BF Ancients? We are only doing Core 7 this year, but I feel it is a lot of reading. And I love to read and so does my dd. I cannot imagine doing BF with Sonlight but maybe we're wimps :)

I was actually planning on Sonlight alone and not with BF. I too think that would be overwhelming.

Thanks for your responses!:)

Do the IG contain literary analysis? The catalog mentions SL400 does (I believe that's the core) but I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere.
