There has been much posted about Nature Study over the past week. I thought that I would post a link for a free resource that I have used with my children when first beginning nature study. http://www.usoe.org/curr/science/core/4th/pdf/NATURALIST_NOTEBOOK.PDF
It is designed to be used in the State of Utah, but I have still found it to be very useful. I have lived in many states and it is relevant regardless of my current residence.
I think that someone who is wanting to give Nature Study a try, may want to use this free resource for a few outings. After a month or two, you may have a better idea of the type of Nature Study books that would work for you and your climate/state.
Hope this helps,
Mary
