I know one is secular and one is Christian. But I am trying to find what will fit me and my son best. He is going to be 11. He reads very well. We are going to be studying the Middle Ages. We are Christian but not very conservative. Seems to me that HO has more history and does more work, is this true? If I go with HO will I still be able to add more books in to show our Christian side too? If I use MOH will I only get info on Christian related things or will they discuss other things going during the time too. Are they both age appropriate? Has anyone used both and have an opinion on which gives a more thorough and accurate history?

MOH is Christian but also includes events that weren't "Christian." Various philosophers are talked about. HO level 2 includes a lot of reading and writing. There isn't commentary in HO, instead the student researches events and can draw their own conclusions. HO is not anti-Christian either.
