For all you bird lovers/nature study gurus. I'm sure you have seen these and probably have one, but my son saw one on Animal Planet and I searched for one online. It's a wooden bird house (perfect for bluebirds) with a clear acrylic back with suction cups to attach to your window. So cool! You can watch the birds nest, lay eggs, see the babies hatch, watch mom feed them, etc. all from the comfort of your home so as not to disturb the little birds! Here is one that I found for all those interested (and who don't already have one!)...

Hope that helps somebody...we are so anxious to get ours (or build ours if dh would agree!).

I know! Those are so cool! I've always wanted to get one but have never seen them around here. Thanks for the link.

Just an FYI that Hearthsong.com also sells these. Haven't compared them to see if it's apples to apples, but Hearthsong is a little cheaper.

It doesn't disturb the birds to have big human faces staring at them through the window? Or do you still kind of peek when you look at them? I love this idea but am curious on how it really works.

Exactly what I was wondering. Well that and what kind of birds go to a premade nest.

We received one as a Christmas gift. We can't wait to see who makes a home there. We had a feeder that attached to the window last year, and that was wonderful.

about the birds accidentally crashing into the window. We occasionally have that happen, birds get confused by the reflections in the window and fly right into them. Once we had a dove hit the window so hard, it actually fell to the ground and died.
So I'm wondering if this would be a problem with the window bird houses or window bird feeders.
