Computer sound question...

My computer (HP) is not producing sound. I know that the speakers are ok, bc when my dd plays Jumpstart kindergarten, she hears the music but not the spoken word.

We can't play music from i tunes or get any sound from the internet.

I've tried system restore, but it won't work.

Any suggestions???

I know this sounds silly, but have you tried rebooting your computer. Our HP lost its sound on two seperate occasions. Sound restore didn't work for us either, but rebooting did.

It could be your sound card. Our sound isn't working either...and I think that's what is wrong with it.
