Is anybody using this? What age/grade(s) are you using it with? What branch of study is it considered? (Language Arts?)

It's a 19th-century English poem about an event in Roman history, so you could class it as literature or as history. The Memoria Press guide is for upper elementary school. Here's what the description at their site says:
"At Highlands Latin School our sixth graders study Horatius at the Bridge in the Winter Term and are challenged to memorize the whole poem (70 stanzas). Students who accomplish this remarkable feat receive the coveted “Winston Churchill Award” at the Closing School Ceremony." - Cheryl Lowe, Founder, Highlands Latin School
Lively Latin has excerpts from the poem, and I was surprised by how much my dd enjoyed it. I might have helped that her dad gets choked up reading the poem... :o

I haven't used the study book from Memoria Press, but we did study this epic poem in conjuction with our Famous Men of Rome chapter about the Horatii. We studied selected stanzas out of The Harp and Laurel Wreath. I was surprised at how much my children enjoyed it! I had them memorize one stanze from the poem (stanza 27, I believe it was). It was a good study in literature. Oh, and my children are in upper elementary (6th & 4th... and my 2nd grader tagged along for fun).
