What do I need to successfully complete Campbel's Exploring Life for Biology?

Hi Angela,
I would definitely get the CD-ROM that includes the on-line activities for this course. I bought this directly from Prentice Hall. I found a used copy of the Teacher's Edition on Amazon or Half.com - very helpful. The TE includes the answers to the chapter review sections. I use these as tests for my son since the test bank cost around $200 (although it looked really neat, that was beyond my budget!) I also bought a copy of the Lab Manual (student edition) directly from Prentice Hall. It cost around $20. We have done several of the labs, adapting where we need to in order to make them doable at home. Some are not feasible to do at home due to the expense of getting the necessary resources. I do not have a copy of the Teacher's Edition of the Lab Manual - it would be nice to have, but I have been able to work around it, especially since we have adapted many of the labs. The people at Prentice Hall are helpful, and it is possible to set up an account as a homeschooler in order to purchase teacher's materials.

So, in summary, you need the Student text of Biology: Exploring Life (close up of iguana eye on cover), Teacher's Edition of the same text, CD-ROM, and Lab Manual. Other things may be helpful, but these are the essentials.

I have the guided reading and study workbook and answer key, which could probably substitute for the teacher's edition- your student could just use the workbook rather than the questions in the text.
