I went to the Friends of the Library book sale last night and bought a 2007 set of World Book encyclopedias for $100! They are in pristine condition. Then....today the books were 1/2 price and I was able to buy my sister a 2006 set for $50! The set has more wear, but she is excited too (also a homeschool mom).

When I was 16, you could have never convinced me I would get so excited about buying encyclopedias. :tongue_smilie:

I have set of encyclopedias and a set of Great Books. I feel complete. ;)

The same set new costs over $800. Yep, $100 was a bargain.

I am really happy about being able to bless my sister with a set. Her 1991 World Book encyclopedias have the U.S.S.R. :lol:
