He called me tonight about a medical problem he was having. I called the 24 hr nurse with our insurance, she called him directly and has told him he needs to go to the hospital.
I am not sure what is going on exactly, but everything I google with his symptoms comes up with liver/bile problems. I am very worried about him and wishing I wasn't so far away.

Thank goodness you called, and the nurse talked him into going to the hospital. I'm sure they'll take very good care of him.

Poor kid. I'm sure they'll straighten him right out. My ds in college is two and a half days drive from here. I know how you feel.

That is bothersome. I would be worried sick.
Hugs.

I still have no information. He called us several times during the night (like a bull in a china shop! He was extremely frustrated by how long he had to wait. I tried to remind him it is always like that in the ER and just how many times we have done it with him before.....He didn't want to hear it.)
His cell phone died around 3 am and he hasn't called since. I called the hospital about a half hour ago to see if he had been discharged and they said yes, but had no info as to when.
I have left phone messages on his cell. I will post when I hear anything. If you read the thread with Pam, I posted that we called a friend who is a dr and he said that there were some non-serious things that could have caused his symptoms (b/c of his age and the fact that he is normally in good health. He said meds could cause them. The only thing our ds had been taking was Airborne. I am wondering if he could have been overdosing on vit A and niacin??) I am assuming since he was discharged, that is what they are. But I really don't know for sure.
