CM vs Classical

A friend considering homeschooling asked me this question the other day, and I gave the best description/explanation I could, but I keep thinking about it so I thought I'd ask here. If someone asked you to briefly explain the difference between the CM approach vs classical approach, what would you tell them?

clwcain- could you compare/contrast CM with genuine classical? (I'm assuming that you are referring to LCC.)
