We ALL had the stomach virus roar through here just two weekends ago...now the blasted flu/strep/bronchitis/pheumonia has hit HARD. I had to go to the er for a chest x-ray yesterday (I have it before) and hope the antibiotic and lots of popcicles keep me out of the hospital. Sigh. If I can not spell right blame it on the Sudafed (etc.)
One day of chocolate and cupids does not make up for this! I hereby cancel Februsry! It is banished!

where we are suffering under another winter storm warning (ice/sleet/snow mixture!) Even this native Minnesotan is ready for spring. (However, banish summers in MO---don't like them either!) :D

Works for me. This non-native Minnesotoan is dying through her first winter. I got here in March last year and frankly I could skip ahead to the end of May. That is when we truly warmed up and the last snow fell last year. I am so tired of being this cold. Hasn't anyone told the weather man that negative numbers are not real. It can not negative anything!!!

I agree... still sick in bed four days later and unsure whether my sore throat is just that or strep. :(

My head is spinning from the sicknesses that have gone around and around this home. I'm having to count pills to remember if/when I've taken MY doses. And I'm writing down when I dose the kiddos! We do a "forehead check" nightly to determine who needs more ibuprofen before bed!
I'm sick of it!
Here's to March and a fresh healthy start!

Long live the Queen! May she live long and bestow upon us many more benevolent proclamations!
*whew* Add us to the list as another family who's been through the wringer this month.

My birthday today (I don't recommend Feb birthdays). I wake up with a raging sore throat; shower curtain rod falls on my head; RO water filter seizes up (membrane collapsed) requiring a trip to home depot to get a replacement membrane; oldest complains when I get a birthday present in the mail because she though it was something for her; babysitter doesn't show up (no movie, no fancy Thai dinner); kids freak, because they were looking forward to having someone at their complete disposal for the balance of the day; kids still freaking, can't even go out for dinner (turns out they are getting sick too, hence their uncharacteristic behavior); freaking continues through bedtime, turns into full blown whining of almost sick children. Thank goodness my addled brain figured out they were getting sick, thereby preventing my getting angry at sick kids on top of everything else and dealing with the ensuing guilty feelings.
On the bright side, at least today was better than tomorrow will be with two fully sick children.

And keep repeating this mantra: "February has been cancelled; February has been cancelled . . . " :D

And keep repeating this mantra: "February has been cancelled; February has been cancelled . . . " :DIt wouldn't be proper to repeat the mantra that's been running through my head... I think yours is better. :)
