Thank you SYRWTL Spanish. :D I have sang your praises before but I am so happy with this series. It is focused in its purpose. It is comprehensive in its goals. It is not easy, but the rewards so great.

To help along in our studies I have started a Spanish club. Read about it and what my daughter was able to do on my blog (linky below). I am just beaming with happiness!

Thanks for letting me share.:D

Dd11 really wants to learn. B/c of budget, we've been using Kimber's The Fun Spanish and she takes a co-op class each Tuesday (she's overwhelmed by this class already b/c there are high school students in there!). I'm going to check into SYRWTL Spanish more. Thanks.

Patricia,

I see on your site, that your 9 year old is using SYRWTLS I. I thought this program would be too advanced for that age? How's it going? And which version is your dd11 using?

It was pretty funny to see the English and Latin in there, too. I was surprised that I didn't see one or two French words.

I actually stopped doing this with the 9 year old. (blush I need to update that huh??) He is actually really enjoying your program, Fun Spanish. We stopped not because he couldn't do it, but because dd was going so much faster. If I was going to teach it, I wanted to do both. Because of time contraints I had to drop him, and then dd started doing it on her own. Once she does an exercise she reads it to me (pronunciation practice) and I tell her if it is correct. She is now almost done with Book 1. Ds will start it up again after our return from Ecuador.

I thought the Latin in there was funny too. I was expecting some french as the other day she said to me, "Je suis...oh no that is French....I meant to speak Spanish." :D

For a 9 yr old to study SYRWTLS would be doable (especially if you have a native speaker around) just be prepared to go at it much slower.

The beauty of Galore Park's language books is that they are so well written anyone who really wants to learn....will learn! Good luck and let me know if I can answer any questions.

What is really great about Galore Park's language books are the clear explanations. Anyone who really does want to learn, will learn.

If I can answer any questions let me know. A PM that you have posted a message for me is great since I am limited on time at the moment and have not gotten on the boards as much as I like to.

Have a great day!

EDIT: I pushed the send button but them my browser crashed. I came back on to see if it had posted and it was not there. I rewrote it and now there are two posts.....SORRY!
