If you've gone through the entire book, how many listed works did you read from each chapter before moving on to the next chapter?

Chapter 5- history with the novel
Chap 6- autobiography and memoir
Chap 7- tales of historians and politicians
Chap 8- history with drama
Chap 9- poets and their poems

I am doing it right now. I started with Don Quixote but had to give up as it just wasn't my type of book. I am taking a break from the list right now because I had some other books I needed to finish but I plan on getting back to the chapter 5 books soon. I plan on at least trying all of them. I have done some substitutions and I have read (or will be reading) some out of synch because I am doing a survey course in British and American lit at uni right now an some of the books from the chapter are in the course. But other than that...

I just finished reading through the book in preparation for my son to use it next year. I started Don Quixote but think I'm going to move along, as it's not my type of book either.

I don't feel too bad. In one of C. S. Lewis' books, he says he wrote "Never Again" on the back page after he finished reading Don Quixote!

I'm reading through the novels now. I actually really liked Don Quixote. I've been humming along until now...I'm reading Moby Dick and can't say I'm enjoying it.
