We go with K12 History, and we both love it. Even I loved it, though could not stand History in school, it was a sleeping pill for me. We have finished 1st grade, ending with Greeks. The course was fantastic. I feel it is exact copy of story of the world, though it is nowhere mentioned. Now my daughter 6, and she wants to go over the whole course again before we start 2nd grade, because she feels that she starts forgetting some things. She is not a perfectionist type at all. Should we do that to keep her interested, or go on with Romans, and do some reviews back and reading when ever time permits? Again, it is all time issue, and already a big plan for 2nd grade is ahead. What would you do?

I like studying Romans right after Greeks, because so much was similar in their cultures--gods, for example, just have different names but are basically the same (some differences, but not much). You could just expand a little, take it a little slower, and extend Romans from now until next year's school year. IN other words, just go deeper.

I've heard Susan Wise Bauer wrote the K12 history for 1-4, so that's why it is so similar to SOTW! lol
