Only 7 days of penicillen for an adult for strep-does that sound right?

I'm not sure why the dr. only gave me 7 days-have you ever heard of this? I've never heard of an antibiotic being given for less than ten days, esp. for strep. I do have to take it every eight hours, so it's three 250 mg tabs/day. It was inevitable that I'd get it, after dd had scarlet fever, then ds got it too!

Maybe...I had strep throat back in 2005, and my doctor gave me one of those 5-day blister packs of medicine. It worked, but I was miserable that whole week. I hope & pray you heal quickly.

Not for strep that I am aware of. You might want to call and ask about that. Maybe they made a mistake.
