Is College Algebra very different from Intermediate Algebra? Thanks.

It takes the Algebra 2 concepts and expands them. There are new concepts too.
There will be some overlap--like there is between Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
College Algebra is often paired with Trigonometry--both normally 1-semester courses--under the title 'Pre-Calculus'.
Lial's combo text 'College Algebra and Trigonometry' is the SAME text as their Pre-Calculus. They even share a common solutions manual.
Some majors only require the College Algebra part so College Algebra is also offered separately from Trig.
