My ds, 14, is doing Omni II this year as a Freshman and really enjoying it. I heard that Omni IV would be printed this spring so now I'm wondering if we should go with Omni IV for fall and spend the next three years in Rhetoric or stick with the sequence and go with Omni III in the fall. He is handling the reading and questions just fine.
We added in a theme based IEW writing book to keep his writing skills up to speed.
Thoughts?

I haven't seen Omni IV, but we are enjoying Omni III. We've studied the Declaration of Independence, the COnstitution, and The Federalist Papers. We've had some awesome discussions. I would hate to have skipped this year.

Would III be going in sequence historically more than jumping ahead to IV? I haven't looked at either so I don't know which books are contained in each. If they are in sequence, I would go with III. I thought Omnibus 1 with added writing and literary elements was definitely high school level.
Did you really enjoy Omnibus 2? Was it even better than Omnibus 1 or did you not do both?

We didn't do Omni I - last year we did the CC Challenge- wish I hadn't and had started with Omni I. I will with my 2 not-so-littles!
We are loving Omni II! My son loves the reading, really understands and can discuss the questions. We are just going slow but that's o.k.
I so appreciate the comments. I believe that we'll just stay in order and do Omni III in the fall. That way, maybe I can get a gently used copy. :)
