I have always tested my kids(grades 5 and 6) and it has always been thru a homeschool group testing or a friend that could test them with the Iowa or in earlier grades with the Stanford. I have 2 questions. My son lost my folder that contained test records from grades 1-4(and it can't be found...it was placed on the bumper of my car and we drove off not knowing he placed it there!!!) I do have last year's tests for both of them which I administered. I now live in a small town and I ordered my tests from Piedmont Education Services and I used the Iowa test. I plan on ordering my tests from them but I noticed this morning on their site that this said the tests are 2005-normed ITBS form A tests. Are they ok for me to use? In other words, should I ever need test scores for entry to schools, colleges or whatever, will I need these from these grades and will these count? My kids have done excellent(praise God!) and I use these as a gauge for our own progress check! Please advise as I am worried. thanks

I am not sure of your question... Are you talking about high schools or colleges or both? If it is about re-entry to elementary schools then no not in my area. My sil sent her dd back to public school for one year and they didn't have to do that either as they don't test at all.

About colleges...no they do not want those. They want SAT and/or ACT.

2005 sounds pretty recent to me. I'm sure they'll be fine. I use Piedmont too. When my son started at a private school last fall they didn't ask for test results but I sent his IOWA scores anyway.
