Real Science for Kids and Christian Kids Explore Chemistry/Physics...

Have you ever used one of these? What did you love? What did you hate? Comparisons?

I'm thinking of these for 6th & 7th grade for my #2 child.

We tried the Christian Kids Explore Chemistry (Biology, too) and it was just not enough for us. Not enough explanation, not enough experiments, not enough hand-holding for Mom. Currently using Noeo and LOVE it.

Noeo looks good, but it's out of my price range. I was hoping one of the less expensive would be good. Maybe RS4K will get a good review. :001_smile:

I think RS4K Chem 1 is very good. My only complaint is that it does not last an entire year (unless science moves very slowly at your home). The experiments are easy to do and the teacher's guide is very helpful. You do need the teacher's guide because they don't put the supply list/set up for the experiments in the student workbook.

I have not yet seen the physic's book. I imagine if you got the chem and the physics together that would be enough for a year.
