The eclipse--I took photos

I'm saving for a telephoto lens, but even with my little 18/55, I like what I got. Thought I'd share them with you.

Beautiful pictures! We tried very hard to take pictures with our 55-200 lens but without a tripod, we were unable to get a steady shot (even with a VR lens). We need a tripod so we can do night pictures (and other things too)

I will show these to the children who wouldn't wake up when I shook them :eek:

Awesome, Jean. We tried to see the eclipse that night, but there was too much clouding. It was fun though. We laid a blanket out on the front lawn and huddled together w/ hot cocoa.

Thank you Jean! We had clear skies all day and evening and then the clouds rolled in about 15 min before the eclipse started and it's been raining since. Ugh! Thank you!
