My 3yo dd is always asking questions about animals, like what they eat, what noises they make, and where they live. I could always look these things up online but it's so much more fun to look in a book. What would you recommend for this? I'd prefer something that dd (and younger ds, who is a book lover like his sister) would like to look at too. I'd also like any ideas for books about other subjects that little ones ask about, like plants, planets, geography, etc. Thanks!

You can try The Kingfisher First Animal Encyclopedia. Each page contains some basic information about each animal and some illustrations.
For CM-style living books about animals, there are several selections at http://www.queenhomeschool.com/. Check under "Living Books About Nature."
Enjoy!
