Yes, it's true! They've been developing it for years at Highlands Latin School; Memoria Press is the publishing arm of HIghlands. First Form Latin and its sequels (Second Form, Third, Fourth) will replace Henle. It looks like it will cover the complete grammar and a student completing the series would then be ready to tackle the other Henle volumes, the readings.
I asked about this on the MP Forum and Martin Cothran said that they are hoping to have it published for the Fall, with details in the summer. I am anxiously awaiting this release. It seems from the HIglands website that the series includes translation work from Aesop's Fables and the Gospel of Mark--although I'm not sure exactly what would be in the First volume. I also heard that they plan to release dvds at some point, but I don't know if that is still the plan since they now offer the online courses.
Perhaps if we all let MP know about our interest, they will speed up production.
