Expo Dry Erase markers, how long do these normally last? (we have tileboard)

We are using tile board for a wipe off board. I bought a box of markers probably in September and a lot of them seem like they don't write as well. I did use some bathroom cleaner on the board, so maybe that didn't help. If I don't clean the board with something like that, it doesn't come very clean. Any suggestions? How long do your markers last?

I have a normal white board and I buy 4 Expo Markers in Sept. and 4 more at Christmas time. That does it for us and we use them everyday. I cannot buy off-brand markers though because they dry up way too fast.

I buy a big pack of several colors in September, and they last all year. Some of the lesser used colors (like the pink one I use simply to torture my boys) last longer. I only buy Expo. The others dry up too quickly.

I have tileboard, too, and use rubbing alcohol to clean it.
