I have read mixed reviews on Algebra I ⅈ and have read good reviews about the geometry. How about TT Pre-Calc? Any good? As rigorous as Saxon or Chalkdust(the two I am considering for next year)?
Thanks!

DD started the year with CD Precalculus, but was unhappy with it. She really hated the textbook. I think it's a personality thing. She hated that I assigned her only odds. It gave her the feeling that it was unfinished. Although she loved Dana Mosely, she constantly complained that there were problems in the problem set not covered by the DVD. I think these were the application type problems. In that sense, the Larson text is more rigorous and more challenging than most other texts out there. This DD had used Saxon up to Advanced Math 1 and had done excellent on the Saxon tests by memorizing algorithms. Unfortunately, Saxon did not give her the skills to problem solve and how apply outside the text. She used TT Geometry last year and really loved it so, I agreed to switch to TT Precalculus. She's really loving it. It keeps her interest. I personally don't think it's as rigorous as the other programs, but she is understanding the concepts and since she has no intention of majoring in math, that's fine with me. My other dc are using CD from Prealgebra to Calculus and doing fine so far. I'll stick with CD for my more mathy kids. I think one other child might have to go the TT route. We'll see.
