Moderators--I Had Trouble with new Social Groups set up--not working properly

I went to view new posts in my social groups. When I clicked on a discussion group, the next screen did not show up. Instead, I got a log-in page and I was logged out!!! I went back on my browser bar and was still logged in. I tried a couple of times.

Guess I far prefer the old format at the moment. I'm off to see if this happens on the message boards as well, but I don't think it will.

ETA I just found out that I can start a new discussion no problem, but still get a logged out/sign in page when I try to read an existing one.

Update: I can access a discussion if I log in again. I have to log in for every single discussion, even if I click remember me (which I've never had to do before.)

Also, I don't care for the fact that it goes oldest to newest. I think the idea of this is great, so that we can have discussions, but I am frustrated with this logging out issue. But if I click the back arrow on my browser bar, I'm still logged in. Weird, eh?
