This was forwarded to me in an e-mail today:
Tuesday, Feb. 3, was the second reading of all Senate Bills in the Oklahoma Legislature. The bills we are especially watching are SB 308 and SB 472. They were assigned to Rules committee instead of education.
Norman state Sen. Jonathan Nichols was named the chair of the Senate's Rules Committee last November.
So, when you hear that a bill has gone "dormant" or has "died in committee," this is where that can happen. Previously OCHEC requested contact with the education committee members, but since it has now been assigned to rules (I found out on the legislative website this morning) these are the committee members that now need to be contacted.
Rules committee members:

Senator Jonathan Nichols - Chair
Senator Earl Garrison - Vice Chair
Senator Brian Bingman
Senator Cliff Branan
Senator Judy Eason McIntyre
Senator John Ford
Senator Mike Johnson
Senator Clark Jolley
Senator Mike Mazzei
Senator Jim Reynolds
Senator Mike Schulz
Senator John Sparks
Senator Joe Sweeden
Senator Anthony Sykes
Senator Charlie Wyrick
Apparently there are a couple of other bills in the process of being written that may affect Oklahoma homeschooling as well.
