based on your experiences: DITHOR or Total Language Plus???WHy?

THis is for my dd 4th for next year. I want to do a literature study with her.
how have you liked either of these??

I don't use it consistently this year only b/c my ds9 is just starting to enjoy reading just for the joy of it. Making him do workbook type pages, reports, narrations, etc. was killing it. Dd11, on the other hand, doesn't mind doing the pages in DITHOR. It's more than just busy work, IMO, but for some kids it can really get in the way, KWIM? That being said, I like DITHOR. It uses whole books rather than readers which I like. You or dc can choose your/his own books from the 9 different genres and just follow the pages for each day.
