View Full Version : Are there any phonogram-based spelling programs that are written to the student?

I'm using SWO with ds7, and I like how he can get his work done without any help from me, other than a two-minute quiz each day. Is there a program out there that has the same kind of format as SWO, but is more rules-based/consistent in approach?

I don't know. I was looking for the same thing, but ended up choosing All About Spelling (which I really, really, really like). It means I have to do the lesson with each child, but I love the clear rules. It's working great for the two kids I've got using it. :)
Hopefully someone knows of a program that suits your wish list....

You could try "Easy Steps in Spelling," download the pdf, then you can print out a few sample pages and see if he can do it on his own.
