Explode the Code then Megawords?

This just looks to be a good tranistion? I looked at Megawords a year ago, but that was after two years of SWR and I couldn't understand the samples, it just seemed confusing. Now that two of my dc are using Explode the Code, the way it teaches seems to mirror what I remember in the sample of Megawords, but for older children?

I didn't use ETC with my elder two, but we tried and quit a few spelling curricula before using and liking Megawords. My dc do this work willingly and their spelling is improving, too.

Now, for my younger two, I plan on using ETC and then switching to Megawords. I hadn't thought about whether the two present material in similar fashion before, but now that you mention it, I can see that. Maybe that's why I like them both? ;)
