What are you working on? Take a picture and share!

Theo's baptismal robe is almost finished:

But today, I'm working on socks. (They're easier and more portable, so that's what I bring to school, to work on while I'm reading and going to lecture.)

What are you working on? Knitting? Painting? Training a horse? Redecorating the house? Hanging new curtains? Building a tree house?

Share!

Brag on yourself a little!

I am knitting two afghans, one for each of my sister's twins, and while the pattern is pathetically simple, they don't look as good as I was hoping they would. They knit up quickly though, and are nice and soft, so I think they will like them, and no one will care if they get dragged around, LOL.

I have several cross-stitch pieces in progress, but I truly can't claim to be stitching on any of them right now. Heh. I can knit a little with the wee boy nursing, but cross stitch while nursing is beyond my capability. :D

They'll be beautiful!! Post pictures when you're done! (And the babies care more about soft and snuggly, anyway!)

I never could really manage knitting and nursing. I tried.

Wow Sarah, you are so talented. When did you start knitting?

Thanks!!

I started about seven years ago, when my sister had her little boy. Don't know why I didn't take it up when I had me a little boy, but I didn't. Anyway, I started back then, when I was in Paris, and I did more and more complicated things every time my life got more and more complicated.

I'm taking up raising sheep and spinning their wool myself next. :D

There's a mom at my homeschool group that raises angora rabbits for her knitting projects. She brought one in once, they are so cute, and soft of course.

I've always wanted to learn, and I taught myself a basic knit stitch, but I haven't learned to purl yet, I guess the Idiot's Guide doesn't work for every idiot :D

Dare I admit that they are still up there

Ummm, it's a physics experiment. Yeah, that's right, and experiment with gravity and the like. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it!;)

blanket. LOL. All I can do with yarn is crochet something with straight edges. I have once made a little rectangle to flip over top of the couch so the cat could perch there. After the cat went to kitty heaven, we have used it to open the hot door of the woodstove. Love it when I can use things in more than one way. :D

Ok, the socks are officially off the wall now. And I took the Christmas cards down too. It was time. :)
