We have this coming up in a couple of weeks, and I have a few questions. We have the kit and tools from Sonlight.
About how long should I allow to do this? It seems like it would take quite awhile???
Also (and this is grossing me out!:tongue_smilie:), how, exactly, do I "dispose of my specimen?" Ick.

A good way would be in a pot of soup.

I'd allow at least an hour, and you can dispose of the specimen in your regular garbage. You might want to seal it in a ziploc bag first because it will smell of formaldehyde.

The directions just seem really long, so I was afraid it would take longer. I will seal him all up. We are doing our dissection on Tuesday, but the trash man doesn't come until the next Monday!

I'd agree an hour is sufficient. The directions are long, but there's not much to the earthworm dissection. You'll be an old pro by the time you get to the frog!
