My DS is in need of 4 years of Spanish - I need help to know what direction to take.
We have looked at Rosetta Stone, but they currently only offer 3 years. I do not speak any Spanish, so whatever we use needs to be self-teaching. I am very willing to hire a tutor as well.
Any and all suggests are very much appreciated.

My son takes twice weekly sessions with a native speaker. We pay $80 per month for this which I consider more than reasonable. Ds says it's better than what he got in ps honors Spanish last year, though he is still in book 1 of Paso A Paso so I don't know about that. The tutor only uses the book a little.

We are trying SpanishLuna as well. We have only had two sessions so far, but are hooked. It's a great system, and very reasonably priced.

for you ds?
If so, you may want to go that route and complete in 4 semesters.
Or do 3 years of Rosetta, BJU, or something like that and then enroll him in cc to complete the four years.
I don't know if there are any online Spanish courses but maybe that's another option.

We started BJU's Spanish with my older son (didn't finish because he returned to private school). It seems to me to be a good, thorough program. But you do still need a tutor in order for your child to get speaking experience.
