I have blogged in the past, but feel like I just don't have time for it.
However, I am considering starting up again. I am thinking it will help me to feel more centered in where we are going with our school. What do you all think?
For those of you who blog, which blogsite do you prefer? I was using homeschoolblogger before.
Also, I would like to keep a homeschool journal in print. Is there anyway to print your entries from a blog to be able to keep a paper record of them?
Thanks so much!

I posted a blog about this just the other day. If you scroll down on my blog to "My State of Mind", I talk about this somewhere in there.
Ofcourse, I am new at it and am not sure how long I will last.
If you do start blogging again, please let me know, I love reading everyone else's blogs.
Blessings,

I do it for family and friends. We live in Europe and so it's a great way to keep up with us and give them a little insight to our world. They love the pictures and daily stuff. :D

A lot of people asked me about my life in China, so I started the blog.

Honestly, I do it because it's the only aspect of my life that is *not* an open book for the four other people who live in my house. My family doesn't even know I have it, and I hope to keep it that way.
(Not that you'll find any deep, dark secrets there. It's pretty boring.)
It is the only thing I have that I don't have to share. I share my days, I share my bedroom, I share my vehicles and my meals and my time. My time on the phone is generally spent trying to find a quiet, private room where nothing is going on and where no teenage girl is lurking, trying her best to eavesdrop. When the phone rings, everyone wants to know who it is. When the doorbell rings, everyone wants to answer it. When the UPS man comes, everyone wants to know what's in the box. It's a race to the mailbox every day. People want to go with me to Wal-Mart and to Target (and to the bathroom at home, for Pete's sake).
Truthfully, my peeps are a bit nosy.
I am introvert in a family of extroverts.
Sometimes I just need to get away from this wonderful group of people. I need something without them.
That's why I blog.

... so the blog is a great way to share.
I began it so that people could see what homeschooling looked like, but there are so many homeschooling bloggers now that I don't need to do that ;-)
Sometimes I blog about education, because I know other interested people will read and discuss with me.
Sometimes I vent (but never about family or friends).
I do not blog at all consistently. I don't have much time for it. I've considered quitting. But I like having that line out to the world ...

I decided to use it as an update for family & friends since we're long distance from most of them. I don't get to post as much as I would like, but I do like to rattle on about my kidlets. :D
I kinda wish I hadn't told my family about it because I would like to write about other things that I would not want them to read, necessarily. Not that I would slam my inlaws on a blog or anything, they just don't "get" me and I don't feel like publishing my opinions for them to read. And yet I would post them for anyone else to read.... I guess I am strange. Anyhoo, my blog is for family to read about our homeschooling and other stuff.

I use blogger, and I like it so far.
I don't really blog about our life. I had a lot of homeschool resources to share (book lists, links, thoughts, etc.,) and I wanted a way to put them all online for friends. So I figured a blog was the cheapest and easiest way to do it. I can't be tied to it daily (or even weekly often, LOL.) I post something new when I have it, usually a few times a month.

I use it to keep my friends and family updated on what we are doing. I use homeschool blogger but can't stand it. LOL I'd try Blogger- much easier. I'd move but I cringe at the thought of leaving 2.5 years worth of blogs behind.

I use my blog as a way to journal the beautiful aspects of my life. It is a way for me to focus on the good stuff.
I recently discovered a love for photography and my blog is a perfect way to display my pictures.
I used to love scrapbooking and haven't for a while because of the space/time/mess it requires. My blog fills that hole in my life.
My husband isn't much of a 'chatter' and my blog fills my need to get words and ideas out.
I have family out of state, and they love keeping up with my family through my blog.
My in-laws and I don't discuss homeschooling or religion because they seem to be akward subjects. I love them dearly, and it is nice to know that they can read a little bit about those aspects (particularly homeschooling) of our life in a non-confrontational space.
I am an introvert, but I love interaction with the people I've met through my blog. I've met some incredible friends.
Occasionally I use my blog as an accountability measure. If I say I am going to work on something, I feel much more obligated to follow through.
There are many more reasons that I can't think of right now. :) I use blogger and have found it very simple to use.

That's my primary reason. I also like to share recipes. If somebody asks, how did you make those marvelous cookies...I can say, check my blog!
