View Full Version : Does anyone have a multimedia guide to any/all of the SOTW volumes?

I already have the WTM, the 4 volumes of SOTW, and the AG's. But I was wondering if anyone has taken time to compile a multimedia guide that might go along with the volumes. For instance, it would be great to have a list for each chapter of any artwork, artists, music, etc that matched that specific chapter. Also a list of movies that are set during that time, matched to the chapter (or there-abouts). (This occured to me specifically recently when we were talking about Siam in the Vietnam chapter. The King and I, being set in Siam in the 1860's would be a nice match to the chapter). Another helpful reference would be must see web sites, and even United Streaming videos etc. (I dig through them, but not all are winners. Some, yes, though.)
Of course, I find these types of things along the way, but it takes time of course. It would be so nice if someone already had a list compiled. Anyone?
Thanks! - Stacey in MA

we are 20 ch into sotw one and every week I post relevant movies, art and internet activity links to correlate with the ch.I plan on continuing through all 4 volumes. It far from complete or perfect (http://runofthemillfamily.blogspot.com/search/label/ancient%20civilizations), I would like to beef thelist up when I go back through sotw with ds, but it's a start....all these type of posts are tagged "ancient civilizations" in the blog. hth some!

Well, maybe if you go for a round 2 in a few years, then it'll be complete!

I did this for SOTW2 -- ideas for music, art, craft, and more to correspond with each week's chapter (or two chapters).
FYI, I put the chapters into a slightly different order to correspond with History Odyssey 2: Middle Ages 'cause that's what my older son was using.
Here's the link to the first page of 7, on GoogleDocs. Let me know if you'd like to see the rest. I could publish it to my blog. http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgjvf2n8_203dzh5bqc3
