I'm starting to put something together for 9th grade Biology and the reviews of Campbell's Essential Biology caught my eye. I was looking through the description on Amazon and it says that the book "uses evolution as an overarching theme to tie all 20 chapters together." How difficult would this book be for a creationist to use? I don't expect any mainstream text to discuss, teach or even acknowledge creationism but I'd prefer to say away from a text that teaches every point of Biology as an off-shoot of the evolution bandwagon. Just like I am annoyed by Apologia's need to make everything about how right Creationists are, I'd not want to swing so far the other way it's like an evolutionist preacher either.

Anyway - that was a long way to ask - what exactly does 'overarching theme' mean?
