I've been getting solicitation phone calls to buy their auction kit. I have refused every time because I have no idea what is involved. Can anyone enlighten me?

I don't know about any auction kits for sale, but all the sales I've ever done on ebay didn't require anything from an outside source.

My gut feeling is that whatever "kit" they're selling is just a way to make a profit off of you. Someone else may have better information on specific things that are useful.

You don't *need* a kit to sell something on e-bay.

I wanted to ebay for a long time and checked out lots of books about it that didn't get me anywhere. Then I checked out "The Official Ebay Bible" by Jim Griffith and was ebaying within 2 wks. The best book to get you going. He explains everything really clearly and holds your hand through every step. I even learned HTML. Wow! It really isn't that hard for what you need on ebay.

Ebay recruited him to write the book after seeing how much he helped people on their help forum. It is in most libraries.

You definitely don't need a kit. Save your money for all the ebay and paypal fees.:) They aren't too bad.;)
