How do you combine them? I am thinking about using Omnibus Year 1, picking and choosing for my 7th grader with the first two years of history cards and elementary program for dc in 6th, 4th, and 3rd. My other thought is TOG 1. I like the history from a reformed view in both and VP is more colorful, but I don't understand how it would work. I am spoiled with SL IG's up until now. We are currently doing Cores 5, 1, and PK with my 4 yo. TIA for your thoughts! Lillian

Well, Omnibus is already written from a Reformed point-of-view. If you combined TOG with Omnibus, you'd really overdo it on your kids. I'm sure that there's some overlap as far as books and general content.
I would choose either one or the other, but I definitely would not recommend doing both. Omnibus is pretty hefty all by itself, especially if you don't modify the program.
I think you could do a search on "TOG and Omnibus" or something like that, and I think it would bring up a few discussions that I've seen lately that compare the two programs.
HTH!
