I've been reading about the BF Ancient History lit pack for jr/SR high school. They say it is worth 1 credit in history, 1 credit in literature, and 1/2 credit for geography. Does that sound right? They also say it should only take about 3 days a week to do. (seems sooo much less then others like Omni, Notgrass, etc). Then again these others also offer a credit in Bible, maybe that's why.
The other thing is they say that they have received a Practical Homeschooling Magazine Reader’s Choice First Place in History, 2008 yet when I went to the site to see it I can only find a 2nd place (tie) award for Literature. I looked here: http://www.home-school.org/home-school/PHS.pdf Did I look at the wrong site? It seems unlikely that BF would lie about this, so I'm gathering that I'm just missing something. :bigear:

I only gave 1 history and 1 literature credit.
The link seems to be missing pages.

I can't attest to the credits but I am using the jr. high side for my 5th grader and it seems to be great. There is a lot of reading but the books are good. They do get mapping in but I am not sure it is enough by itself. I have not had experience in the other programs you mentioned but I think it is a lot in the program.

Having not used it at that level, I don't know about the credits, but you're missing some of the article with the PDF you linked to. Funny how the Robinson Curriculum won so many awards, and yet I've only met a handful of people who use it and I know a lot of local homeschoolers. Obviously "Reader's Choice" like this one and the one through The Old Schoolhouse are not always the final say, but are interesting at least. :D
