Klutz Hair a book of braiding and styles..opinions?

Just curious what your opinions are on this Klutz book?
Is this something by 12/13yod could do on her own, or is it Mommy intensive? Usually my daughter braids her own hair (regular) in 2 pig tails. I am not one to do hair...:p
I just didn't know if this book was one for someone doing somebody elses hair or for doing your own hair.
What did you think about this book?

I know my dd had that book, not sure whether we still have it (she's 16 now and generally just does the quick pony tail in the mornings, LOL) - but I feel sure she found some good in it. ALL the Klutz books are so great about explaining things on a kid level :)

I haven't seen the Klutz book, but my 10yo dd recently enjoyed Fabulous Hair (http://www.amazon.com/Girls-Style-Fabulous-Maria-Neuman/dp/0756615895/) from DK Publishing. I found it at our library. Dd was able to recreate several of the styles, but I did help her some...it was fun! :)
