Ya'll never let me down. Where can I find an inexpensive piggy bank for DD8? I've checked online at Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, and K-mart. Their banks range from $15 to $50. Am I alone in thinking this is a bit silly. . .to spend so much to encourage SAVING money?
She really wants a pig shaped bank, or at least an animal of some sort. She plans to use her own money. oh, and she wants one she can open and close with a plug or whatever. She does not want to smash it to get her money back out.
Thanks for any ideas.

You should be able to find a "cheap" bunny shaped bank soon, with the easter stuff. HTH

Check your local dollar store. My son has a number of piggy banks, and I recall getting more than one of the ceramic type there.

Check Old Navy, ours were $5 and came from there.

Target, small pink ceramic pig, $1. In the dollar section next to the front door. About... three weeks ago?

If you have one near you, they have cute plastic ones in various colors.

I pretty sure dd got hers from Michael's, she had to "paint" it herself (with ceramic markers) but she loved that. I think the small one was .99 or 1.99. Bigger ones were maybe 4.99. I think I may have seen them at Hobby Lobby, too.

I can't believe what a resource these boards and you women are! When "google" can't answer my question, I know that I can come here and gets lots of good answers.
I'm looking forward to checking out all the piggy banks mentioned here.
