Anyone have a good beginners quilting website?

I'd like to really start making use of my sewing machine and want to try a quilt...can anyone recommend a good website that would help me to get started? My MIL could show me, but she lives an hour and a half away...so I really need to have something that can get me started on my own. Also, what else do I need to buy to help with making a quilt?
